--top_messages [N]

Description

For each lexicon category in -l, finds the top N individual messages that score highest for that category, using a message-level feature table.

Argument and Default Value

An optional integer (nargs='?'). If given with no value, or omitted entirely, uses dlac.DEF_TOP_MESSAGES. Default when the flag is absent entirely: False (switch off).

Details

Verified end-to-end. Requires a message-level feature table (i.e. built with -c message_id, not a higher-level group like user_id) passed via -f, of the category-scored form produced by --add_lex_table. Writes <output_name>_topmsgs.csv with columns message_id, message, category, top_words — one row per top message per category, alongside the category's top-weighted words from the lexicon for context. --group_freq_thresh is applied via getGroupWordCounts() before selecting top messages.
