--num_bins N

Description

Number of bins to split a feature's group range into, when building a binned feature table with --feat_flexibin.

Argument and Default Value

An integer. Default: None.

Details

Passed to FeatureRefiner.createTableWithBinnedFeats(num_bins, group_id_range, ...). Required together with --group_id_range and -f — if any of the three is missing, --feat_flexibin silently does nothing (if not args.numbins or not args.groupidrange or not args.feattable: continue-style guard).

Note: --feat_flexibin itself is currently broken for an unrelated reason — see the Known issue on that page — so this switch has no working consumer as of this writing even when supplied correctly.
